An analysis of the serious crime statistics for January of 2025 points to a significant increase of 29% in the Part One index total for Cambridge when compared with January of 2024. During the first month of the year, there were 301 serious crimes reported in the City. For the same time period in 2024, the combined total for Murder, Rape, Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Burglary, Larceny & Auto theft was 234 incidents.
