Together we will explore the unique features of individual trees and tree species using our senses and watercolor paint as tools for creative discovery. Weather permitting we will spend most of the time outdoors so please dress for the weather and bring a hat with a brim if possible. This is a process oriented class that welcomes all levels of art experience from beginners to professional artists. Come connect with trees creatively! In order to increase the long-term survival of newly planted trees, Public Works has improved pre-planting soil preparation, supervision of the planting process, and post-planting watering and other aftercare.

City offices will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 24 and Thursday, Dec. 25 for the Christmas holidays and on Thursday, Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day. There will be no trash or recycling collection on Thursday, Dec. 25. Collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week. Street cleaning operations will not take place on Wednesday, Dec. 24 and Thursday, Dec. 25.
