The Economic Department has a new Story Map showing the location of Vacant Storefronts across the City.

Applications are now open for a new grant to help Cambridge businesses improve their web presence. Businesses can receive up to $4,000 in relief funds to improve their website, add services like online ordering or booking, and other eligible expenses.

As part second Participatory Budgeting process, the City will set aside this money from the FY17 Capital Budget for projects to improve the community. The deadline to submit project ideas through an interactive online map is Aug. 31

For Cambridge residents not already registered, the last day to register to vote is Friday, August 19. The deadline time has changed from 8 p.m. to 5 p.m. on August 19. The Office of the Secretary of State offers an Online Voter Registration System.

– Led by Cambridge’s interfaith-based organizations, non-profit community and regional partners, the 9th annual citywide “Safer Homes, Safer Community: Cambridge Gift Cards for Guns” initiative is being held on Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at two locations.

The Cambridge City Council will continue to hold regular meetings. Members of the public cannot be physically present during the meeting, but can watch it meeting on the Municipal Channel 22-CityView or online via the City of Cambridge Open Meeting Portal at www.cambridgema.gov
