The Massachusetts Vaccine Scheduling Resource Line at 2-1-1 is now available in English and Spanish and will have translators available to support residents in approximately 100 additional languages. Please call 2-1-1 and follow prompts to reach The Massachusetts Vaccine Scheduling Resource Line. Individuals ages 75 and older will be able to speak to a representative live on the phone to assist them with an appointment through the state’s online system.

As part of its allocation of funds through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the City of Cambridge established the Cambridge Nonprofit Recovery Fund to help address the financial hardship that the nonprofit sector faced because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible Cambridge non-profits can receive up to $150,000 for their organization. The online grant application is open until July 7, 2023.

Hosted by Dr. Latanya Sweeney (Harvard) & Dr. Safiya Noble (UCLA), Outbraving 2024 brings together leading scholars and practitioners working at the intersection of science and technology studies, history, journalism and communications. Exploring topics include Data Justice, political economy, voter engagement and online culture, Outbraving centers the challenges and triumphs of Black women working within and outside the academy. Health Insurance Open enrollment for active City employees and non-Medicare eligible retirees will be held this year from February 10-28, 2025. Please review your current health insurance elections and submit any changes you would like to make via the online portal no later than Friday, February 28, 2025.

The City of Cambridge Community Preservation Act (CPA) Committee will meet virtually on Wednesday, June 9, at 5:30 p.m. to receive project requests for FY22 funding. Each year, the CPA Committee recommends funding for affordable housing, historic preservation, open space, and recreation initiatives throughout the city. Recommendations can be submitted at the June 9 meeting or online from June 9 through July 14, 2021.

Beginning Monday, June 22, the City of Cambridge Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP) will begin operating its annual Cambridge Summer Food Program and open applications for its free Online/Offline Summer Programming. Both programs will support and engage Cambridge youth while following the Commonwealth’s health and safety guidelines, including proper social distancing and use of face coverings.
