An analysis of the serious crime statistics for the first 11 months of 2024 points to a 10% increase in
the Part One index total for Cambridge when compared with the same time frame in 2023. Through
December 2nd of 2024, there were 3,308 serious crimes reported in the City. For the same time period
in 2023, the combined total for Murder, Rape, Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Burglary, Larceny & Auto
theft was 3,015 incidents, 293 fewer than 2024. A 25% rise in the crime index has also been registered
when measured against the five-year weighted average. Read more.
