Textiles and Mattresses Banned from the Trash as of November 1, 2022
Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection is adding textiles and mattresses to materials banned from trash disposal. Textiles include clothes, linens, towels, shoes, and accessories, like hats, gloves, socks, underwear, belts, and handbags. Residents can schedule a free mattress and textiles pickup online, or drop-off textiles at 12 locations.
Community Solar Helps Cambridge Residents Save Money and Supports City’s Climate Goals
The City of Cambridge and Community Development Department today announced the addition of community solar to its long-standing Sunny Cambridge program. Now all Cambridge residents, regardless of whether they rent or own, can leverage online tools and resources from Sunny Cambridge to shop and compare community solar projects or rooftop solar installations.

Wayne MacDonald, 61, 48 Boylston Street in Boston, was arrested this evening by Officers with the Cambridge Police Department and Boston Police Department in connection with an indecent exposure incident that took place Sunday at a CambridgeSide Place clothing store.

Police Arrest Suspect Behind Cambridge Armed Commercial Robberies
The Cambridge Police Department, Boston Police Department and members of the U.S. Marshals Service Task Force arrested Richard Perry, 41, of 25 Bowdin Street in Somerville, late yesterday on multiple warrants. Perry was charged with the armed robbery of two Cambridge convenience stores earlier this week.
