PB Cycle 11

The City of Cambridge has launched the 11th Cycle of Participatory Budgeting! From August 26 through October 1, 2024, over 1,300 ideas were submitted by Cambridge community members on how $1 million should be spent on projects to improve the city.

PB11 is currently in the second stage of the PB process: Proposal Development. Beginning on October 1, 2024, ~70 volunteer Cambridge residents, who we call PB Delegates, joined the PB process to begin reviewing and researching all submitted ideas for this year's PB cycle. PB Delegates will be working with one another, the Budget Office, and City staff from October through January next year to develop submitted ideas into 20 project proposals for the final PB ballot.

Between March 6 through March 16th, 2025, those 20 ballot projects will be turned back to the city for all Cambridge residents age 12 and older (including all sixth graders) to decide how to spend $1 million of City funding to projects to address community needs.
