STEAM Academy: iFp Labs (Main)
Innovators for Purpose (iFp) Labs starts with students' interest in building a better world and introduces them to the underlying science and math principles to bring their solutions to life. Youth in 7th and 8th grades are invted to join iFp on a journey into the world of artificial intelligence with 'Smart Cars AI: Driving Innovation for All.' This 13-week adventure invites you to dive into the world of self-driving cars, at the intersection of technology and innovation
Innovators for Purpose (iFp) is a Cambridge-based nonprofit that inspires high-potential, diverse young people to discover their passions, develop innovative mindsets and cultivate marketable skills to solve problems they care most about. Summer Studio teens are funded in part through the Mayor's Summer Youth Employment Program. The Cambridge Public Library STEAM Academy is part of Cambridge STEAM Initiative's efforts to enhance and expand students’ access to quality STEAM learning experiences. Made possible by generous support from the Eric and Jane Nord Family Fund and Verizon.

This summer, BioMed Realty and the City of Cambridge teamed up to provide local Cambridge teens with a valuable, hands-on introduction to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) careers at some of the world’s most innovative companies.
DJ Holiday Mmmmixer: A STEAM Fundraiser
The DJ Holiday Mmmmixer is a fundraiser for local STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math education) initiatives, which introduces new-era digital art forms to young people. Proceeds from the event provide funding for underserved Cambridge students to take classes at Mmmmaven and danger!awesome.
Cambridge STEAM Initiative Event with Local Bio and Tech Companies
In an effort to boost students’ interest and raise awareness of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) education, Cambridge is hosting STEAM It Up! on Thursday, Oct. 25, from 6-8 p.m., at Rindge Ave. Upper Campus/Peabody Elementary, 70 Rindge Ave. Pizza will be provided.

The Cambridge STEAM (Science, Technology, Arts, Engineering and Math) Initiative is a partnership between the City of Cambridge, Cambridge Public Schools, and Cambridge Public Library created in 2016 to ensure that, through equitable access to high quality STEAM programming and resources, all Cambridge residents, regardless of social and economic barriers, are STEAM literate and possess the 21st Century Skills necessary to be successful, engaged, and responsible citizens in a rapidly changing world.
